The side of the hire that you don't see, but know we have it taken care of
We have vehicles of every size at our disposal, to suit all of your event needs. You can rest assured that we can take care of your event needs, no matter how challenging it is logistically.
Our 18 tonne DAF LF
Every successful business relies on their products or services. Here at Gumbles Amusements we rely on our ever expanding fleet and this is one of our newest additions. Our other lorries have built in shelving, but with this one we decided to optimise for space for inflatables. With this one, we can move more than 7 large inflatables and all of the needed equipment, and a hard standing ride for good measure.
Our Old School ERF E10
Old but gold is what they say. This beauty has been with us for over 20 years! It started its life working as a M&S delivery lorry, doing local drops and distribution work. We went to view lorries and instantly fell in love. It was brought back to our base in Bedford, modified to carry out fun fair work, and began its new life touring the UK's events. A fun fact, this lorry has been down the Top Gear runway.
We plan on giving this lorry a full renovation, restoring it back to its former glory. With new underbody boxes, coupling framework, chassis sand blasting and respray, new box body, cab frame work restored, full leather interior and dash rebuild, and finally a respray.
Our smaller DAF still packs a punch. This lorry transports our Bumper Cars, Hook-A-Duck, and a large inflatable. It is the final lorry to belong to our 2nd generation owner Stephen Gumble, who has been travelling the fairs and events of the UK for over 60 years! He took the project on, and manufactured all of the framework himself. Choosing the colour scheme was easy. Our family has sported these liveries since we started, and we do not plan on changing any time soon.
The smallest lorry of the fleet, and an older picture. The 'little Man', as it is known amongst ourselves has been with us for over 10 years. Another one bought by our second generation owner Stephen Gumble, he bought this lorry with plans to utilise it for smaller events, where it could fit into smaller school gates/field entrances the other bigger lorries cannot access. It now sports the family liveries.
Our New DAF XF 106
The second addition to the fleet from our 4th generation owner Bradley Jnr is also the first articulated vehicle to join the fleet. This vehicle was purchased to transport our new runaway train ride, and a second new ride that we plan to announce at the start of 2024.
We have a lot planned for this lorry, which you can see take place on our projects page.
